I have installed direct x 9.0 and it comes up an error when i try to run the game saying that i need direct x 9.0. What is wrong?

look for a newer set of drivers for your video card, or maybe download a different version of directx

Press Start and then click Run from your Windows toolbar and type dxdiag. A window will come up telling you the specs of your system, if you look at the bottom of that window you should see DirectX Version: and then your version. The latest DirectX version is 9.0c, if you do not have that version type it into Google and download it from the Microsoft website. Otherwise, your card may not be able to support the latest DirectX, what card do you have?

hi, i'm currently running on Windows XP SP3 and direct 9 with 1GB of ram..my video card is radon 8500 Series...i'm also getting the same problems....need help too.....can any bros advise here??? thanks very much .... sighs....

me its a 9250 ati and it runs good on tiberium wars and kanes wrath

i have directx9.0c

try uprade directx to 10 :) maybe that helps or update video graphics

the game is made for a certain version of shaders, which the 9xxx series of Ati cards cannot handle, if you want to play Red Alert 3 i would advise you to upgrade to an X1800 or higher, that can actually handle the game.
